Position Summary
Seeking an IT Finance Consultant to provide support to all levels of Internal Operations/Enterprise Portfolio management. This position will also provide support to customers in the development/monitoring of divisional budgets and corporate projects (building complex financial models, determining impact of potential mergers and acquisition partners). The Consultant will be accountable for financial initiatives and strategies, accounting systems, and funding strategies to ensure adherence to budgets and budgeted financial goals and objectives.
 
Minimum Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance required, MBA or Master’s in Accounting, Finance or MIS preferred.
  • 2-4 years’ relevant experience with 1+ years’ experience coaching or mentoring.
  • Knowledge of tools/applications used within Internal Operations (i.e. Workforce Tools, PeopleSoft, Ariba, etc.) and comparable tools.
  • Knowledge of investment valuation techniques, i.e. ROI, NPV, EVA, RBC, and with lease/buy analysis.
  • Experience in divisional budget preparation.
  • PC proficiency including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes.
  • Ability to manage conflicting interests of business partners.
  • Ability to challenge conventional thinking and facilitate robust conversations to address issues and drive results.
  • Customer service skills, including managing customer expectations and/or vendor relationships.
  • Strategically and detail-oriented with financial and business acumen skills.
  • Clear and concise written/verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with IT financial modeling and business/financial models/business cases and forecasting preferred.
  • Knowledge of IT hardware/software assets which include software licenses and maintenance costs preferred.
  • Knowledge of IT cost structure used to provide in-depth analysis around project costs (hardware, software, contract labor, absorbed labor, and core budget costs) preferred.
